Wanda
Wanda was fleeing a dangerous abuser who searched for her far and wide.
Wanda and her children entered our shelter to escape her ex-husband who had searched for them in multiple states. Their family was fearful of leaving to run errands or for appointments, but thankfully we had just upgraded our surveillance system, so she was able check our security cameras before exiting the building. Wanda let us know that our confidential location and these safety features felt like a matter of life and death to her.
